

With it, a local government manager is appointed by an elected body to study issues, make recommendations, and implement policies set by an elected board while being responsible for the day-to-day administration of the organization. Howell Township is served by a Council-Manager form of government. All functions of the Township Manager’s office are conducted striving for the highest ethical standards to be maintained, and the benefit of Howell Township and its citizens at the forefront of consideration. It is the Township Manager’s responsibility to ensure the most up-to-date information is utilized when providing advice to the governing body, conducting personnel matters, and implementing numerous programs. She has lived in the Township for more than 35 years with her family.The Township Manager and staff are dedicated to facilitating the day-to-day operation of government to ensure the policies set forth by the governing body are efficiently and effectively implemented. Weiss was born in Plymouth Township and grew up in Whitemarsh Township. She is a current Executive Board member of the Delaware Valley Insurance Trust and a past president (2009) of the Montgomery County Consortium of Communities as well as past board member and Treasurer of the Waste System Authority of Eastern Montgomery County.

Joseph’s University and a Masters in Business Administration from LaSalle University. Weiss earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. She previously worked for Sperry Corporation and Unisys in the Accounting and Financial Analysis Departments. Prior to serving as Township manager, she held various positions in the Township, including Zoning Officer, Director of Code Enforcement and Assistant Manager. Weiss was appointed Township Manager in May 2003. She is the administrator of all affairs within the Township placed in her charge. The Township Manager reports to Council and is responsible for executing all policies established by Council.
